Biography: She got a diplome in Biblioteconomy and Documentation in the Universitat of Barcelona and another one in Management of Cultural resources in the University of Deusto. She also did the post degree of Digital Documentation in the University Pompeu Fabra. Her professional activity is tied to the Documentation Center of Euskal Herriko Bertsozale Elkartea. Arantza has executed and directed the project of the center, known as Xenpelar, which tries to assure the systematical withdrawal of the bertso creation, with a fund of 22.339 documents. As the director of the center since 1991, she has stimulated the reflection and the university investigation in this field, with the collaboration of the research equipment of the Bertsozale Elkartea. Moreover, close to her professional staff, she has made Xenpelar become a platform to establish relations and cooperation with other centers of other countries, sharing experiences and documents concerning oral culture and improvisation all around the world. From 2000, she is a member of the direction of the association Bertsozale Elkartea.
