[PT] Este artigo trata do problema da poesia em meio à histó-ria da literatura. Para tanto, ele encontra-se dividido em três partes. Na primeira, foi analisada a relação entre poesia oral e estudos lite-rários. Na segunda, discutiu-se a contribuição dos estudos culturais para a poesia oral. Finalmente, propõe-se uma abordagem cartográ-fica para a poesia oral.
[EN] This article dealt with the problem of oral poetry in the history of literature. It is divided into three parts. In the first one, we analysing the relationship between oral poetry and literary studies. In the second one, we discussed the contribution of cultural studies for the understanding of oral poetry. Finally, we proposed a carto-graphic approach for oral poetry.
