- Jesus Goñi is from Oronoz, Navarre. Coming to Rupert, Idaho, in 1976 he originally performed as a bertsolari (singer of improvised verses) in Idaho. He has been living in Nevada for many years now and from Reno has participated in bertso sessions in places like: San Francisco, Chino, Bakersfield, Gooding, Elko, Los Banos. He is among the bertsolaris that participate every year in the Bertsolari and Basque Song Festival of Gardnerville. In the Basque Country he had the opportunity to sing with Lazkao-Txiki, Azpillaga, Egileor and Mattin, among others.
