Hip Hop is a popular genre and archive of self-life writing, revealing the relationship between biographies and culture. In this chronicle of my fieldwork in México City, I argue that hip hop is also a methodology for affective analyses of place, one that artists and analysts perform in mobility and dialogism. I conclude that epiphany, as it is related to the concept of the voice, becomes silent in its translation to text.
